I have used liquidweb for a number of years for several websites of mine. Liquidweb has been around for a long time and are a super reliable host. I have used each package and I definitely think all are a great value for the price, especially considering what you get for them and the level of efficient customer service given by their excellent support team. Their service seriously has never ceased to amaze me, the support guys really know what they are doing and are experts in the field.

For me, my choice with LiquidWeb has really paid off; just by the help and guidance I’ve received through their staff. I have not had many problems with Liquid Web, but in the rare occurrence that I do I have found that someone on staff has been able to help me quickly and easily and in a calming manner. From what I understand from talking at length with the staff they own and operate their own data centers, they are a fully managed hosting provider.

I have run very heavy websites with them and the price is always totally affordable. In addition to the customer service the uptime has been great. I have gotten a ton of storage from these guys, all RAID protected and again at a very affordable cost. For me the Webmaster Package has proven to be the best deal with 1500MB and 100GB of bandwidth.

As I said, I have been with liquid web com  for years and have experience no down time! For what you get trust me, LiquidWeb.com is a fantastic deal. They are the most professional and efficient web host out there. I would definitely recommend Liquidweb to anyone, especially those like me with medium sized websites like myself.

When it came time with my personal business to start up websites and become a webmaster, I felt a bit in the dark. I am pretty technologically savvy but was working with a small budget and was unsure about what I could do and get with my money. Also I didn’t want to feel burdened, like I was going into this huge project alone. I knew I was going to need a web host, but I wasn’t sure where to go. I did a little research and started to feel a bit discouraged about the whole thing, that whole doing it on your own fear creeping back in.

So I asked a friend who is quite tech-oriented. He directed me to LiquidWeb, saying he had heard great thing about the company, that they had been around for quite some time and are very professional, etc. While I was browsing the website I was able to speak live over an internet chat box to a site operator. The person who I chatted with was very helpful and understanding of my situation. They gave me lots of advice and even helped me in reviewing what they offer as a web host to other companies I was looking at.

As I talked to the super nice representative it became clear I would use LiquidWeb. We ultimately decided that the best bet for me would be the LiquidWeb standard package. It is an extremely affordable package at only $14.95 per month and I would recommend it to anyone! It has proved to be perfect for my site and the staff has been very helpful. I no longer feel totally alone in my endeavour!

The tech people have reached out and been there through of my problems and have really helped me. Everyone answered all of my questions accurately and quickly, whether on t he chat or by calling customer service. My whole experience of their staff has been wonderful. I definitely think this is the best host and the best package for the cost, and would recommend it to anyone!

One Free Month of Web Hosting at ThePlanet.com

Moving a server from one web hosting provider is always painful. Not only is there a lot of work to be done, but you are also paying for 2 dedicated servers at the same time. But there are options available if you pick the right web hosting provider for your next decicated web server. Did you know that you can get a free month of web hosting for your new server when moving from another web host? ThePlanet.com has an ongoing special that will give you one free month of web hosting when you move to ThePlanet.com from a different web host. It is easy to get the credit applied to your account. All you need to do is to show your last invoice from the other web host and you instantly save money. You can do this through the “Orbit” control panel by opening a ticket to the Sales Department or you can talk to a sales rep while ordering your server.

This is a great way to save money as it gives you an entire month of time to fully customize your web server and then move all the websites over. The last time I moved a server over from Softlayer to ThePlanet.com I was actually able to time the entire thing in a way that I probably saved $150 or so in web hosting fees. It was quite some work as I had to move about 45 websites to the new server, but I did it all on one single weekend and was able to cancel the old server before a new billing period started. Good stuff. This special is actually going on for a while now as you can see from my own experience. I moved my business over to ThePlanet during the summer of 2007 and the server at ThePlanet.com has been good for me (and my websites). Great uptime and good support from the folks at ThePlanet.com.

So, get a great dedicated web server at ThePlanet.com and save money the moment your new server is up and running.

Review of Liquid Web Standard Package 1

Liquidweb is a fantastic host.  I use their shared standard package which is to me a beyond reasonable price. With this package I got two domain names under this one affordable plan. I use one site for my home business and the other for my more personal site, and the two are connected. When I first thought about web hosting I thought I was going to have to pay a ton, as I didn’t know much about it. But with Liquid Web it is easy.

Their support system is incredible. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and are available 24 hours a day. I know because I would call at weird hours all through the night, while I was struck with insomnia and wanting to work on my projects. Liquid Web really took care of me; each person who helped me on these calls was so benevolent and handy. Instead of treating me as though I should know everything about web hosting, everyone who helped me responded well to each of my questions and was very understanding and patient.

So I must say for me it was really all about the live support Liquid web provided. This support was integral for me during the beginning months of setting up my websites. I truly don’t think I would have been able to get my websites (and in turn my companies) off of the ground without these guys. Also it is important to mention that for the level of care the customer support team took with me for this cost per month is unbelievable. Not to even mention that the uptime is great and I have never had any problems with the server crashing! This package  is an excellent value for the money. For only $14.95 a month this is truly a steal in my book.

Real customer feedback is always the best way to find out if a web host can really deliver outstanding service and uptime. We always ask people for feedback and like to post your stories on our website. Here is a customer submitted review of Bluehost Web Hosting.

As a business owner with several websites I have been using Bluehost for years now. They have proven to be a super reliable host that I really trust in. I did a lot of research before deciding on Blue host, but I feel I made the perfect decision. Their price tag is great and has remained that way over the years. As a dedicated customer I know I do get a lot from their low cost, everything I need to run my sites and more.

One of the best things I’ve found about Blue host is that they let you host unlimited domains on a single account; this has come in as extremely helpful for me. I also think they have a really nice control panel; Blue host uses a cPanel, which is just great. They offer unlimited storage and transfer which is also super handy. Their applications are easy to install and are helpful and great. I have used their blogging, Wikipedia and picture gallery apps among others and have found all of them to be very easy to use and a big help. Also there are a lot of one click installs with Fantastico, which is very easy to use.

They also offer lots of included productivity software. The features list is beyond extensive. All of this is under the package at a low cost. Another great thing about this host is how much they help you protect and back up your sites and e-mail. They have proven to be my saving grace in the past in this respect. Blue host provides everything you need to run and develop a website- or a few! Visit Bluehost.com

Cheap Dedicated Servers

While browsing for web hosting everything was beginning to look the same, what I was looking for was  a good solid company for some heavy hosting. When I found ThePlanet.com
I was able to immediately speak with a sales representative over live chat. The sales representative really helped me and she was able to show me what really works at theplanet.com. They truly are a serious hosting company and their pricing is beyond competitive! It outshone anything I had found in all of my research.

For the features that I get with my plan I feel like I get a fantastic deal. The support is what I have found to the best thing about this host., it is truly top notch. The server I received came with built-in-support and this was at no extra cost. The built in support included a ton of great features that I did not think I would be able to get for this low price, including tech support available 24/7, network wide DDoC mitigation system and a remote reboot and remote OS reload system. I run a medium sized business and would recommend this host for anyone with the need for a dedicated web server to handle a busy ecommerce website.

When my business began to grow I knew I was going to need a dedicated server. On theplanet.com there are a ton of hardware and configurations to choose form. It really is a buffet for people looking for dedicated hosting, there are nearly infinite choices!. I’d have to end by stressing that theplanet.com is not just for hosting a website, it provides the infrastructure and power to implement web apps and business solutions for your internal use and for your clients. It is like renting an IT dept and all the hardware that comes with it, for a much better cost. Fantastic!

What is a VPS – Virtual Private Server?

January 14, 2009 by CheapWebHosting

A fairly new web hosting product is the VPS or Virtual Private Server. Server Virtualization has been around since the very late 90’s, but the products started entering main stream about 3-4 years ago (2005/2006). But what exactly is a VPS? A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is the simulation of hardware by a host or server operating system. This virtual environment provides the foundation that allows to run another operating system on top of it. In easier terms you could say that one server operating system is piggybacking on another one. The servers share the same hardware, but the VPS will see only so-called virtual hardware that the host operating system presents to it. In the end all this really means to you is that a physical server provides resources to more than one operating system while those are running in parallel.

Each virtual server account is completely isolated from the others running on the same physical server, and access to hardware resources (RAM, CPU, Disk Space, Network throughput) is managed by the physical server and the management software it runs. So, for instance, a virtual server may have 1GB RAM, 20GB of disk space, and 2 x 1.86GHz processors presented to it from the host server even though the physical server actually has 8GB RAM, 4 x 1.86GHz CPUs and 2 TB of disk space. It is not uncommon to have a virtualization ration of 1:30 or even more. Depending on the VPS software that’s used on the host machine, each VPS can either share hardware resources, or have guaranteed access to a specific amount of RAM, disk space, or CPU.

Most VPS plans today are hosted on either Linux or FreeBSD, but they do also exist in the Windows world. The costs of Windows VPS plans tend to be significantly more expensive than their Linux counterparts, but that’s not to say they’re not suitable in specific situations. A web host we found that provides very solid VPS setups for customers is Liquidweb. Visit Liquidweb.com to check out their VPS server web hosting plans.
